Inter Milan and AC Milan have confirmed that they have made joint bids to buy the San Siro stadium and intend to complete the deal by July.

Milan and Inter have shared the San Siro, or Giuseppe Mesa, as their home ground since 1947. But the stadium does not belong to them
and now the two clubs have jointly submitted a bid to buy the stadium. And its surrounding area as they look to rebuild the stadium on the same site.
“Internazionale Milano and AC Milan have submitted a proposal to the Municipality of Milan for the purchase of the Giuseppe Mesa and its surrounding area. As well as the results of a feasibility study for a new stadium as part of a regeneration project focusing on innovation, sustainability and accessibility,” the clubs said in
a statement. They will hold detailed discussions with the municipality in the coming months. And are aiming to complete a deal by July.
Their offer is believed to be in the region of €200m. Which is the price previously set by the Italian tax authorities.
Inter and Milan have long had plans to build a new stadium. And had previously applied for approval to demolish the San Siro and build a new stadium on the same site.
